DFW Humane Society

The DFW Humane Society is a non profit 501(c)3 organization founded in 1967. They are a no-kill shelter dedicated to giving homeless and unwanted pets a second chance in life through adoption. They house about 80-100 animals at any given time and take in strays and owner released pets from the DFW Metroplex.

The DFW Humane Society does not receive and state or federal funding so they depend solely on caring people for their survival.

What can you do to help? Actually there are a lot of simple, yet effective ways:

You Say You’d Like to Help with Food?

The DFW Humane Society wants the animals in their care to receive quality, well-balanced, consistent nutrition at an affordable cost. So their partner Science Diet is providing them with a constant supply of food of a consistent quality. They must, however pay the shipping costs of 35 cents per pound, a 40lb. bag costs $14.00 to ship.

Please donate to defray shipping costs by visiting The DFW Humane Society Science Diet Food Donation Program.

Do You Shop at Kroger or Tom Thumb?

If so, a portion of your grocery bill can benefit the DFW Humane Society.

At Kroger, join the Neighbor-to-Neighbor program by presenting this PDF with your Kroger Plus Card. Kroger will then donate a small portion of your bill every time you shop and scan your Kroger card.

At Tom Thumb, go to the service desk and ask to program your Tom Thumb reward card to credit account #988 (DFW Humane Society account number). Tom Thumb will then donate a small portion of your bill every time you shop and scan your Tom Thumb reward card.
